i poked myself in the nose with a pair of scissors. =/ i think i'll have an interesting scar. =D it's kinda star-shaped now ...
today's the last day for one of the researchers. i still have trouble remembering her name but i got invited to go to the going away lunch. =DDDD it's this hole in the wall place that i would have just completely ignored any other time. however, it's amazing inside!!!!!!! no prices on the menus (all french) and the portions are so small it's ridiculous. picture a mcdonalds hamburger cut into thirds. they represented the appetizer, main course, and dessert. =**( i was so hungry afterwards my stomach felt like it was caving in. yeah yeah it was free so no complaining but blah!!!! i had so much fun listening to them talk. the boss was on some show the other day and she was telling us about how don johnson was giving her such a hard time. haha then she said the host was such a ditz. she quoted that congress passed a bill or was thinking of passing a bill that said fetuses can feel pain after 21 weeks (i'm not sure if this is right, gotta check nytimes) and wanted to know how beverly felt about it. beverly said it's not congress' job to determine whether or not fetuses feel pain. after the show, the woman turns to beverly and says "wow that was such an insightful thing you said about congress." duh!!!!
school starts on the 7th for me. all evening courses yay!! i have to do a trial run and time how long it takes me to get from work to school. i'm thinking 30 minutes is enough time. if not, i guess i can get off 10 minutes early on tuesdays and wednesdays. i thank god every day for helping me find such a convenient job. no matter how much i complain i will always feel grateful to gynuity for hiring me.
